Ottawa University’s roots and traditions can be traced back to the work of Baptist missionaries Jotham and Eleanor Meeker, who labored ceaselessly to improve the lives of the Ottawa Indian Tribe in Kansas. Ottawa University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Amy Browne Hogan as the new Dean of the School of Education. She has served as the Interim Dean of the School since last spring, following the departure of Dr. David Barnes. On July 10, 2012, the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation awarded Ottawa University a $750,000 challenge grant toward the University’s new Gangwish Library and Gibson Student Center slated as part of its $24.3 million Advancing the Vision Campaign.
