Senator Jerry Moran Visits Ottawa University

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran, R-Kan., made a visit to Ottawa University’s residential campus on Wednesday, April 4, as a precursor to Kansas Private College Week. After touring the campus, Senator Moran met with President Kevin Eichner to learn more about Ottawa University and discuss what federal issues may be impacting the institution.

As reported in the Ottawa Herald (www.ottawaherald.com), Moran said, “Our private colleges serve a very useful role, certainly in educating with knowledge, but also many of our private colleges provide a religious or moral aspect – a sense of importance of civic responsibility, personal growth – that is only at a private college.”
