Braving Discipleship
Posted by cservaes on March 03, 2013 in Academic Programs, Community, Current Students, The College tagged withMore than 130 high school youth and youth leaders embarked on a mission to discover what it means to be “Separate to Our Lord” during the annual Braving Discipleship event in November.
Led by Ottawa University students, the event reaches high school students with a featured guest speaker, band, break-out sessions, as well as small group activities. Throughout the course of the weekend, the high school students reach out, worship, share, and participate in community service.
“The unbelievable commitment from our students to Braving Discipleship is hard to express,” says Campus Pastor Bud McCluney. “During Braving Discipleship, our students lead small groups, games and activities. To see these young people, who are committed to their academic success, take time out of their busy lives to do God’s work by reaching high school students is always exciting to me.”
