Homecoming Royalty

ersity seniors Matt Gross and Lauren Buckles were crowned as 2012 Homecoming King and Queen prior to kickoff at the Homecoming football game on October 27.
Gross, from Blue Springs, Kansas, is the son of Kim and Bill Gross. He is an accounting major and a member of the Braves football team.
Buckles, from Gardner, Kansas, is the daughter of David Buckles and Mark and Julie Sutton. She is an elementary education major, a resident assistant and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Braves Athletic Council, NAIA American Red Cross Leadership Program, Kappa Delta Pi, and the Optimist Club. She is also a member of the Lady Braves basketball and track and field teams.
Crowning this year’s winners was the 2011 Homecoming King, Nathaniel “Nino” Straub.
