Births and Adoptions Joe ’04 and Shelby ’06 Greemore announced the birth of their son, Greyson Lee, on July 14, 2012. Cade and Amanda Rensink ’04 announced the birth of Colyer Brion on February 23, 2012. Jeff and Heather (Hawkins) Jones ’05 announced the birth of their son, Matthew Drennon, on October 5, 2012. Ottawa University’s roots and traditions can be traced back to the work of Baptist missionaries Jotham and Eleanor Meeker, who labored ceaselessly to improve the lives of the Ottawa Indian Tribe in Kansas. They served as ministers, nurse and doctor, business agents, marriage counselors, teachers, and of course, spiritual counselors.
