Sounds of Spring

The Ottawa University Music Department had a busy spring semester. In addition to the OU™ Concert Choir’s venture to Carnegie Hall (see page 11), a number of concerts were held. The OU Orchestra presented its first spring concert on March 6. The soloists for the concert were OU adjunct faculty members Chun-Chien Chuang and Sascha Groschang, and Lubomira Paskaleva-Kulzer, who is on the faculty at MidAmerica Nazarene University. The Ottawa University Music Department once again ushered in the Christmas season with its annual Christmas Vespers on December 5. Performances by the University Ringers, University Orchestra, and University Concert Choir and Jazz Singers, as well as scripture readings and traditional carols sung by the audience all served to prepare hearts for the celebration of Christ’s birth.
